The stunning Elizabethan manor house of Oakwell was built by the Batt family in 1583, but is now displayed as their family home in the 1690s. A mixture of authentic and reproduction furnishings, from intricately carved four poster beds to intriguing kitchen utensils. provide an insight into late 17th Century life. The site also includes over 100 acres of country park, a visitor centre, gift shop, nature trail, picnic sites, playground and countryside centre.
